On 3 April, remuslives23 reported that her Harry Potter story Cold Comfort (posted 16 January 20103) had been plagiarised by Tamaki's Ramen (FF# 2499876) as Stony Limits Cannot Hold Out (posted 4 February 2011) in the Death Note fandom.

On 3rd April, dancerchick17 sent me a PM through fanfiction.net to inform me that they believed my story, "Cold Comfort" had been stolen by Tamaki's Ramen. My story was written for Remus/Sirius in the Harry Potter fandom. Tamaki's Ramen's story for the Death Note fandom was an almost word for word copy with just the names and title changed.

On September 19 forcestrong reported that Funkiechick and studentnumber24601's story Everything You've Done Wrong posted under the sloanne account on Fanfiction.net was plagiarised by dexy's midnight runner in their story Call Me Cupid, also published on Fanfiction.net.

It appears that a Fanfiction.net user named dexy's midnight runner has plagiarized a story written as a collaboration of three people that was posted under the username sloanne in August 2003. Those authors are also known by the usernames Funkiechick and studentnumber24601, according to the profile for the sloanne account.

I first noticed this by accidentally reviewing the copied fic first, and seeing all the reviews there with the accusations. The copier ClarissaLawliet (at http://www.fanfiction.net/u/3472333/ on FFN) has 3 stories listed and the profile was created on 11-28-11. All three copied ( Read more... )

On August 4, amochan8878 reported that Saffylaffy (FF.net) had plagiarised a Death Note story by hari_aisu (LJ and FF.net), "Discordant Harmony", renaming it to "The Search for Love".

The OP had sent a PM to Saffylaffy about the plagiarism. They did not get a response but noted that Saffylaffy changed the story's disclaimer. The story has since been pulled from FF.net ( Read more... )

On December 28th, silenttaiyoukai reported that a story of theirs had been plagiarised on fanfiction.net. The story in question, The End, was reposted word-for-word by Darknight847. The story has since been deleted, but you can see caps of it here, here and here.

On December 23rd, a reader at FF.net alerted me to the fact that someone had re-posted one of my stories as their own. The name of my fic that was plagiarized is "The End", and the original can be found here: www.fanfiction.net/s/5785251/1/The_End. As you can see, it was originally posted to FF.net on March 1st, 2010.
